Wolfgang Aichner
Wolfgang Aichner collects photographic motifs of irritating quality in order to transfer them carefully with acrylic paint onto metal grids. He extracts groups of persons from their original background. The new, largely colorless picture background allows the viewer to imagine the pixelated scenery in his own personal context. The viewer is therefore led astray. The visual language suggests a context for the viewer, which is characterized by the constant presence of the digital image flood. It is only when you look at it closely and when you observe the picture titles that it becomes aware of your own conditioning.
