Performance Pursued By Strange Visions by Daniel Gianfranceschi

The performance „Pursued By Strange Visions“, a quote from Marcel Proust, explores notions of intesity, repetition, reduction and perception. Through the use of alternate tunings, feedback and selected modulation subtle changes in pitch, rate, frequency and delay emerge, focusing on minute differences and sustained decay tails as the main compositional techniques. The performance uses volume, silence, dissonance and dry-signals not as antonyms of each other but as coexisting on the same acoustic plane.
